Taghmon Church, Co. Westmeath
This foureyed figure is in place over the north window and can be seen as you approach from the car park. Some dispute it’s authenticity but I have seen a photo taken before the carers got to it and it gets my vote.
You will notice immediately that it seems to have four eyes, it is thought that the top pair may have been used to hold horns or branches for special occasions.
