The church is in poor shape but worth a look anyway. Fortunately this excellent figure has been saved and moved to the Roscommon County Museum at the top end of Roscommon Town.

Check opening times first.
The stone would originally have been fitted over a door but it only came to light recently when the graveyard was being cleaned up and this stone was found face down, thereby protecting her image.
